Promoting your library

Everything you need to grow your library lives in one place. Open your library, tap Manage, then Promote.

At the top of Promote, tap Share link to send your library’s page URL anywhere—text, group chat, social media, a bulletin board post.

Anyone who opens the link can browse your library and send a join request. You review and approve each request in Manage → Members → Requests.

Use this when you want to vet every member before they join.

Tap Print flyer & QR code to get a scannable code that opens your library page.

  • Share QR — saves a clean PNG you can drop into Canva, presentation slides, or a social post.
  • Save flyer — a ready-to-print branded image with your library name, QR code, and instructions. Print it and post it on a bulletin board, front desk, or window.

Send a personal invite to someone’s email address. They receive a branded email with an Accept Invitation button.

  1. Tap Email invitations on the Promote page.
  2. Tap Send new invitation.
  3. Add addresses (up to 50 at once, or import from CSV).
  4. Optionally add a personal message, then Send.

Invitations expire after 14 days. From Promote → Email invitations you can see the status of every invite (Pending, Accepted, or Expired), resend one to reset its 14-day window, or cancel it.

Create a short link that adds someone to your library the moment they tap it—no approval needed.

  1. Tap Auto-join link on the Promote page.
  2. Choose an expiry: 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days.
  3. Tap Generate link, then Share or Copy link.

Links show a branded preview card in iMessage and WhatsApp. You can have multiple active links at once and revoke any of them at any time.

If someone opens an expired or revoked link: they see an “Invitation Expired” page that still shows your library name and details. What happens next depends on your library type:

  • Public library — a Request to Join button appears. They can send a join request directly from that page and you’ll receive it for approval.
  • Private library — no self-service option. The page tells them to contact the library admin, so they’ll need to ask you for a new link.

Tap Announcement template for a pre-written message you can copy and paste into a church bulletin, group email, or social media post. The text is personalised with your library name and book count.

Edit the text directly before copying, or tap Reset to default to restore the original. Then tap Copy and paste it wherever your community will see it.

Tap Embed on your website to get a small HTML snippet that places a branded library badge on any webpage.

Toggle between Light and Dark themes to match your site, then copy the snippet and paste it into your HTML. Visitors who click the badge go directly to your library page.

When an invitation expires or stops working

Section titled “When an invitation expires or stops working”
  • Email invitation expired: Resend it from Promote → Email invitations—this resets the 14-day clock.
  • Auto-join link expired or revoked: Create a new one.
  • Private library: When any invite expires, recipients need a fresh invite from you. They can’t request to join on their own.
  • Public library: Expired invite recipients can still find and request to join through search.
  • The email address doesn’t need to match. Invitations work by link—recipients can accept even if they sign in with a different address (so they can also forward these invites to others).
  • Re-inviting the same email refreshes an expired invitation instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Plan limits apply. If your library is at its member cap, new joins are blocked until you upgrade or remove members.
  • Promote needs a public URL. If you see “Set up your public URL,” go to Manage → Settings → Library identity and add a URL handle first.

If invitations aren’t sending or links aren’t working, contact support.
