Messaging Your Library Admins
Every library on Agathos Books has an admin team — the people who run it. If you have a question that isn’t about an active loan (“Do you have more books like this?”, “When are pickup hours?”, “I noticed a damaged cover”), you can message them directly.
Starting a Conversation
Section titled “Starting a Conversation”From your library’s page:
- Tap the message icon in the top-right corner of the library photo (next to the share button), or scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Message the admins
- Type your message — that’s it, no subject line needed
- Tap Send to admins
Your message goes to all admins of the library, not just one person. Any of them can reply, and you’ll see the conversation as coming from the library itself.
Attaching a Book
Section titled “Attaching a Book”If your question is about a specific book, tap About a book? in the message form and search the library’s catalog. Attaching the book gives admins instant context — no “which book do you mean?” back-and-forth.
You can also start a conversation about a book directly: when you’re viewing a book from your library, look for Ask the admins near the bottom of the page.
Following the Conversation
Section titled “Following the Conversation”- Replies arrive as notifications, and unread conversations show up in the Conversations rail on your home page.
- A dot on the library page’s message icon means an admin has replied.
- Tapping the entry point again shows all your conversations with that library’s admins.
Closing a Conversation
Section titled “Closing a Conversation”When your question is answered, you (or an admin) can close the conversation from the conversation screen. Closed conversations become read-only — if something else comes up, just start a new one.
You can have up to 3 open conversations per library at a time. If you hit the limit, close one (or wait for an admin to resolve it) before starting another.
Questions About a Past Loan
Section titled “Questions About a Past Loan”Active loans have their own built-in chat (see Messaging on a Loan). For a loan that’s already finished — say you found the book after returning was recorded, or have a question about a charge — open the loan from your loan history and tap Question about this loan?. That starts an admin conversation pre-linked to the loan.
