Editing Book Details
Once a book is in My Books, you can personalize it with notes, tags, reading status, quantity, and a custom cover.
Editing a Book
Section titled “Editing a Book”- Go to My Books and open the book you want to edit
- Look for the section you want to change (Notes, Tags, Library Sharing, etc.)
- Make your changes — they save automatically
What You Can Change

Reviews
Section titled “Reviews”A short review you can share with members of your libraries, with an optional “recommend” flag. See Writing book reviews.
Your own labels like “book-club” or “read-2025”. See Using tags.
Quantity
Section titled “Quantity”If you own more than one copy (useful for lending):
- Open the book
- Tap the Your copy bar near the top of the page, then Manage
- Update the number of copies you own in the Copies control and tap Done
You can’t reduce quantity below the number currently loaned out.
To remove just one copy, tap Remove book in the same dialog and choose Remove one copy. If you change your mind, tap Undo in the message that appears at the bottom of the screen. Removing every copy takes the book out of My Books for good (there’s no undo), so Agathos asks you to confirm first.
Library Sharing
Section titled “Library Sharing”The same Your copy manage dialog holds the sharing toggles — switch on each library you want the book available in. See Sharing books with a library.
Recommend
Section titled “Recommend”Tap Add your recommendation (the star) in the book page’s In your community section — just below what other members recommend. When no one in your libraries has any activity on the book yet, the section invites you to be the first instead; tap Recommend there. The star fills right away; a dialog opens where you can optionally add a short review. Tap the filled button again to edit or remove. See Recommending books.
What’s Global (Can’t Be Edited)
Section titled “What’s Global (Can’t Be Edited)”Some information comes from a shared book database and is the same for everyone:
- Cover image
- Title, author(s), subtitle, series
- Description and publisher details
- ISBN and edition metadata
If you spot incorrect global data, contact support and we’ll review it for everyone.
