  • Title — The book’s name
  • Author(s) — Add or update author names
  • Description — A summary of the book
  • Publisher — The publishing company
  • Publication date — When the book was published
  • Upload a custom cover — Take a photo or choose from your gallery
  • Reset to original — If you’ve uploaded a custom cover, you can restore the default
  • Personal notes — Add private notes about the book (only you can see these)
  • Reading status — Mark as “Want to read,” “Reading,” or “Finished”
  • Rating — Rate the book for your own reference

Books you own that are shared with a library can be edited by you. Your changes will be visible in the library.

Library-owned books (books owned by the library itself) can only be edited by library admins.

If you own multiple copies of a book:

  1. Open the book details
  2. Tap Edit
  3. Find Quantity and update the number
  4. Tap Save

This is useful if you have multiple copies for lending.

Some book information comes from global databases and can’t be changed:

  • ISBN — This is a unique identifier and can’t be edited
  • Series information — Managed at the system level

If you notice incorrect global book data (like a wrong author name that affects all copies), contact support so we can fix it for everyone.
