Profile Settings
Customize your Agathos Books profile with your name, photo, and account preferences.
Accessing Your Profile
Section titled “Accessing Your Profile”- Tap your profile icon in the navigation (bottom right on mobile)
- Tap Settings or the gear icon

Profile Information
Section titled “Profile Information”Display Name
Section titled “Display Name”Your display name is shown to other library members. To change it:
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Tap Display Name
- Enter your new name
- Tap Save
Profile Photo
Section titled “Profile Photo”Add a photo so library members can recognize you:
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Tap your current photo or the camera icon
- Choose Take Photo or Choose from Library
- Crop and adjust
- Tap Save
To remove your photo, tap Remove Photo.
Contact Information
Section titled “Contact Information”Email Address
Section titled “Email Address”Your email is used for sign-in and important notifications. To change it:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Email
- Enter your new email
- Verify the new email via the code sent to it
Phone Number
Section titled “Phone Number”Add or update your phone number for SMS verification and notifications:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Phone Number
- Enter your number
- Verify via SMS code
Having both email and phone gives you a backup sign-in option if you lose access to one.
Sign-In Methods
Section titled “Sign-In Methods”You can sign in with either email or phone number. We recommend adding both:
- Primary method — Used for most sign-ins
- Backup method — Useful if you lose access to your primary
To add a backup sign-in method:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Add Email or Add Phone
- Verify the new contact method
Account Preferences
Section titled “Account Preferences”Choose between light and dark mode:
- Go to Settings → Appearance
- Select Light, Dark, or System (follows your device)
Language
Section titled “Language”Agathos Books is currently available in English. More languages coming soon.
- Use a clear profile photo — It helps library members recognize you during book handoffs
- Keep contact info current — Notifications for loan requests and due dates use this information
