Viewing Your Loan History

Every loan you’ve borrowed or lent is kept in your loan history once it’s finished.

  1. Tap Loans in the navigation
  2. Tap the History tab

The All, Borrowing, and Lending tabs show active loans. History shows everything that’s finished — completed returns, declined requests, cancelled loans, and pickups that expired without anyone collecting the book.

Active loans are sorted into sections so you can tell what needs your attention:

SectionBadge?Meaning
UrgentYesTime-critical — your overdue borrowed book, a missed dropoff commitment, an expiring pickup window, a dispute, or a waitlist hold in your 24-hour claim window
Act nowYesRequired actions — approve or decline a request, confirm a return, respond to a renewal, pick up a book, or drop off a book today
Coming upNoScheduled — a dropoff you committed to on a future day, or a borrowed book due within a week
Waiting on othersNoAwareness only — e.g. a book you lent is overdue (the borrower needs to return it), your request is pending approval, or a book is on its way to you
On Waitlist / ActiveNoQueue entries and calm in-progress loans

The number on the Loans tab in the bottom navigation counts only Urgent and Act now items (plus unread loan messages on visible rows).

Each loan card shows:

  • Book details
  • The other person and which library the loan went through
  • The dates that matter (when it was requested, picked up, and how it ended)
  • A status chip showing how the loan closed (Returned, Declined, etc.)
  • A Lending or Borrowing chip so you can tell at a glance which side of the loan you were on

History entries appear slightly dimmed to distinguish them from active loans.

Tap any entry to open the full loan details, which include:

  • The complete lifecycle timeline — request, approval, dropoff, pickup, and return events with timestamps and who took each action
  • Any proof photos that were uploaded during dropoff, pickup, or return
  • The book, library, due date, and other party

If a recall, dispute, or extension happened during the loan, it’s reflected in the same timeline.

  • Confirm receipt of lent books — if a member returned one of your books but you haven’t tapped Yes, I Got It Back yet, the loan still sits in your active Lending tab (not history) until it’s confirmed or auto-confirms after 7 days
