Can I try before I buy?

Yes! The Free plan is yours forever—no trial period. It includes up to 200 books and 30 active members, core lending, scanning, loan messaging, notifications, and reading tracking. Paid plans unlock more capacity and admin tools like analytics, multiple admins, and auto-approval.

What counts as an "active member"?

A member is considered "active" if they've logged in within the last 90 days or currently have a book checked out. This means you can invite your entire community without worrying about inactive members counting against your limit.

What do members see on the free plan?

Members always get the full experience regardless of your library's plan—browsing, borrowing, loan messaging, reading progress, activity feeds, and notifications. Plan limits only affect admin tools. Members never have to pay or upgrade to use the library.

Do members need to pay anything?

Never. Members browse, borrow, track reading, and get notifications completely free. These plans are for the person who creates and manages the library. If you were invited to join a library, you don't need a plan.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancel anytime from Manage Subscription in your library's Plan & billing settings (this opens our secure billing portal). Your library remains accessible until the end of your billing period, then it moves to the Free tier. If your usage is above the Free plan's limits at that point, you get a 14-day grace period to reduce usage before the library is frozen. Your data is preserved — extra reading plans are archived, not deleted. See our refund policy.

How do I upgrade or downgrade?

Upgrades and switches between paid plans happen in-app under Change Plan — upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. To go back to Free, use Cancel Subscription instead (handled in the billing portal so refunds and retention offers stay in one place).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and other payment methods through our payment processor, Paddle. At checkout, you'll see your local currency and any applicable VAT or sales tax based on your billing address.

Do members need to install the app?

No. Members can browse, borrow, and track reading in any web browser. The free iOS and Android apps are optional and recommended for push notifications and the best mobile experience.
